Armenia's Ambassador to Iran Artashes Tumanyan on Sunday met with Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh.

The Minister hailed mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia, highlighting cooperation in energy sector. Bijan Namdar Zangeneh. Added that the Armenian community makes a considerable contribution to the development of several areas in the country.

In turn, the Ambassador touched upon the high level of Armenian-Iranian relations and the need to intensify economic relations.

The interlocutors discussed the process of implementation of bilateral economic programs and underlined the effective cooperation in the energy sector. Artashes Tumanyan presented a series of questions on the prospects of development of Armenian-Iranian relations. The Minister expressed his willingness to promote cooperation with Armenia and wished success to the Ambassador in his diplomatic mission.
