YEREVAN. - Accession of Kyrgyzstan to Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) will open up a chance for Armenian jewelers, Suren Karayan, First Deputy Minster of International Economic Integration and Reforms said in the parliament on Monday.

“Wide market with its additional options is opening so that our producers can freely enter that market and sell their products,” Karayan said.

Central Asia markets have been the most important ones for Armenian jewelers in the recent years. This mainly regards the better-off Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Jewellery export to these countries in 2014 constituted $9,75 and  $1,64 millions respectively. Export to Tajikistan constituted $341,5 thousand, and that to Kyrgyzstan $62,5 thousand. 41 and 7 per cent of products are exported to Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan respectively.
