An unknown person is anonymously threatening to blow up Moscow and Yaroslavl-based RIO shopping centers belonging to the Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan, TASS reports, citing the law enforcement authorities of the Russian capital.
According to the spokesman of the Yaroslavl Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the anonymous person dialed hotline and Police Control Room on Monday evening. The caller said the RIO shopping center in Yaroslavl was mined and then put the phone down.
Moscow law enforcement authorities say that the police are checking 4 RIO supermarkets in Moscow, located down the Leningradskoye Highway, Bolshoy Cherkizovskiy Street, Lenin Avenue and Rumyantsovo village in the territory of New Moscow.
People are now being evacuated from the shopping centers, whose operation is stopped. Police officers who have arrived at the emergency site are checking the building with the help of canine team.
