YEREVAN. - Some of the Armenian sportsmen representing Armenian in the European Games in Baku are Armenian citizens from Karabakh, Anush Chitchyan, Head of Armenia’s Sport and Youth Affairs Ministry Information and Public Relations Division told Armenian News – NEWS.am, referring to the wave of hysteria raised in Baku with this regard.   

“Most probably it’s about information taken out of the context. Like many Armenian citizens, the aforementioned sportsmen represent our country in international competitions, being Armenian citizens from Karabakh. They are leaving for Baku for this very mission,” Anush Chitchyan said.

The European Games will last till June 28. Armenia is represented by 25 sportsmen in Baku.
