Armenia’s revised Labor Code will maximally specify the concept of probation period, Artem Asatryan, Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs said in the parliament on Tuesday.
Thus, the employment agreement must specify the requirements submitted to the employee during the probation period. Those requirements should not go beyond working responsibilities.
Besides, the employers will not be able to set probation period for the interns who passed training in their workplace.
“I think these amendments raise the safety level of workers, especially the beginners,’ Hakob Hakobyan, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Affairs said.
