Members of the Armenian National Committee of America met with Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, Asbarez reported. The ANCA members pressed Nancy Pelosi for a floor vote on the Armenian Genocide Resolution (House Resolution 252).

Speaking at a fundraiser in Burbank, Pelosi stated that many presidential candidates have proclaimed their commitment to properly acknowledging the Armenian Genocide but have withdrawn from their commitment upon taking office, the source reports.

U.S. must properly recognize the Armenian Genocide in order to have any moral authority to talk about humanity, she emphasized.
