In the first half of 2010, a total of U.S. $617m were transferred to Armenia for individuals by means of the banking system – U.S. $18m (3%) more than in the first half of 2009.

A total of U.S. 311.6m were transferred from Armenia in the first half of 2010 – U.S. 52.5m or 20.2% more than in the first half of 2009. Net inflows totaled U.S. $305m – U.S. $35m or 10% less. Most of the funds were received fro Russia (65%) and the U.S. (10%). Armenia registered a negative balance with Ukraine, Turkey, Spain and China.
