YEREVAN. - The already second successful emission of Eurobonds proves the controllability of Armenia’s foreign debt, Atom Janjughazyan, Armenia’s Deputy Finance Minister and Chief Treasurer said in the parliament on Friday.

No one would have obtained the bonds of a country with even minimal danger of default, especially in competitive business environment, he said.

In March 2015, Armenia issued $500 million Eurobonds at the rate of 7,5% for 10 years. $205 million of the borrowed funds were used for the redemption of the $700 million Eurobonds emitted in September 2013.

Another $85 million will be directed at the funding of Budgetary Deficit in 2015.

In fact, the repayment period of the new emission has significantly increased (10 years) in comparison with the previous one (7).
