Obtaining any kind of new weapon will affect the power balance in the region, announced the Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan at a meeting with journalists.

The minister noted that S-300 is a defense, not offenisve system. “Moreover, there’s no official information about Azerbaijan obtaining S-300. At any rate, this information has already been refuted,” said the minister.

Recently, information about Azerbaijan’s forthcoming purchase of S-300 from Russia has circultaed in the press. This information hasn’t been confirmed officially yet.
