YEREVAN. - The latest investment forum held in Karabakh may soon yield its first results, Karen Martirosyan, Executive Director of Yerevan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) told Armenian News – NEWS.am, commenting on the annual investment forum held in Karabakh capital Stepanakert on June 27-28.

The forum was attended by a number of representatives from foreign companies, mainly from Russia, as well as Belarus and Switzerland. Around 100 companies representing Karabakh took part in the forum. “The sectors were quite diverse – from machine tool manufacture to crop farming,” Martirosyan said.

The businessmen also visited a number of Karabakh enterprises, including Forest LLC wool yarn factory in Stepanakert, as well as the Rapeseed LLC vegetable oil plant in Karmir Shuka village of Martuni District. “Local and foreign businessmen conducted very successful talks; one contract has almost been signed already,” he said.

The forum was organized by the Artsakh Investment Fund and Armenia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
