Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sharply criticized the European institutions and states, accusing them of all kinds of faults.

During the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, younger Aliyev accused the Council of Europe of its anti-Azerbaijani stance over excluding the phrase on Karabakh conflict from the PACE resolution, AzerTAc reports.  “Dirty campaign is being carried out against Azerbaijan, which flares up even more on the eve of important international events. Certain double-faced western politicians - congressmen, senators and Islamophobic persons backed and funded by Armenians - have declared a war against Azerbaijan. This is grounded on jealousy and malignity,” Aliyev said, noting that ‘these resolutions have no significance.’

Germany also caught it bad from Aliyev. “German Bundestag adopted an anti-Azerbaijani resolution. This is an inherent part of the dirty campaign, aimed at the discrediting Azerbaijan. The question is what has German Bundestag to do with us? What do they think of themselves? Is German Bundestag master of the world and ruler of the world? They have apparently got used to it. We have distant relations with them; we don’t want anything from them. Conversely, it is they who need our gas, fuel, contracts and activity in this region,” Aliyev said.
