The Türksat satellite operator of Turkey has accused Azerbaijan of being ungrateful.

Azerbaijan turned down Türksat’s proposal to jointly operate the Azerspace satellite of Azerbaijan, Haqqin.az news agency of Azerbaijan reported citing the Turkish media.

“Turkey has always assisted Azerbaijan, but it has never received the same from the brotherly country,” stated the Turkish satellite operator, reported Milliyet and Habertürk dailies of Turkey. “They rejected the proposal and chose our competitor, which offered higher prices.”

“Azerbaijan has started cooperation with our competitors, and created a threat to our activities in the region,” reads the statement by Türksat.
