Kazakhstan, as an OSCE chairing state, should take steps to resolve conflicts in the South Caucasus, OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Kazakh Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev told the Kazakh reporters.

It is important to make maximum effort to strengthen dialogue in resolving conflicts in the South Caucasus. The parties should reach compromise, he mentioned.

As an OSCE chairing state, Kazakhstan spared no effort to settle prolonged conflicts in the post- Soviet countries, Saudabayev emphasized. Transdniestria, Nagorno-Karabakh, Georgia’s confrontation with Abkhazia and South Ossetia - all these conflicts are difficult to be resolved, especially in the course of one-year presidency, OSCE Chairman-in-Office stated.
