YEREVAN. – The Minister of Economy, Karen Chshmarityan, on Friday met with Ambassador Traian Hristea, Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Armenia, who is ending his mission in the country.
First, Minister Chshmarityan thanked Ambassador Hristea for the close cooperation. He also underscored the role of and assistance by the ambassador and his staff within the framework of Armenia-EU collaboration. The minister once again stressed that cooperation with the EU remains a priority for Armenia, and the country stands ready to continue deepen trade and economic relations with the EU.
Hristea, for his part, highly praised the activities by the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, as the national coordinator of the EU assistance programs. He also thanked for the productive cooperation with the ministry during his tenure in the country.
Subsequently, the interlocutors recapped several matters of mutual interest along the lines of Armenia-EU cooperation, and issues of separate sectoral cooperation.
