YEREVAN. - Armenian citizens deceived by Tonus LLC will hold a protest on Thursday in front of the Armenian government building, demanding to reveal the reasons for not starting the construction of a building in Yerevan’s Davitashen district.

“We were promised that the construction will start from July 15, but they are only promising; no construction has started yet. They’re cheating us every time,” Anna Mkrtchyan, one of the cheated residents told Armenian News – NEWS.am.  

During the recent meeting, Hayk Davtyan, assistant to Armenian PM, promised that the construction would start on July 15 and finish by December.

Earlier, Tonus Construction Company sold the flats of a newly constructed building to the citizens, but later used them as collaterals in “Artsakhbank.” After the construction of the building, “Artsakhbank” became the owner of the flats. Tonus Construction was declared bankrupt, leaving the citizens empty-handed.
