YEREVAN. – Armenia can take measures against increase in bread prices, Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergey Sidorskiy said.
Sidorskiy, who used to be a prime minister of Belarus, shared his experience in this field.
Belarus is importing a small portion of durum wheat required for baking from Kazakhstan through Russia. Given the importance of the social character of grain, Minsk agreed on favorable tariffs for railway transportation.
“This was done not under the Eurasian Union or the then Customs Union, but under separate negotiation. Armenia can do the same. And you may reduce internal railway tariffs,” he said.
