The Arabic and Israeli media keeps track of the two Lebanese men arrested in Azerbaijan.  

Two Lebanese men arrested for planning to blow up Israeli embassy in Azerbaijan may be released in prisoner swap with Iran, Haaretz reported. According to the Al-Arabiya satellite channel, Ali Hassin Najam Adin and Mohammed Karaki, as well as other 12 Iranians were swapped for two Azeri diplomats and an Azeri nuclear scientist.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, information on release of two arrested Lebanese men appeared in the Azerbaijani press on August 13. According to the Trend news agency, two Lebanese citizens Ali Hassin Najam Adin and Mohammed Karaki were extradited to Iran on August 8.

The two Lebanese were detained in 2008, along with four Azerbaijani criminals on suspicions of an attempt to blow up the Israeli embassy in Baku in revenge for the killing of senior Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyeh. The Lebanese were sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment, while Azerbaijanis – to 14. Haaretz also notes that Hezbollah has not commented on the rumors yet.
