Instead of commenting on the Karabakh peace process, Turkish President Abdulah Gul would better reread the statement by the OSCE Minsk Group Foreign Ministers, saying that none of the principles of Karabakh conflict settlement should be prioritized, Secretary of the ruling Republican Party Eduard Sharmazanov told the journalists today.

Commenting on Gul’s recent statements made in Azerbaijan, Sharmazanov advised him not to nose into the Karabakh peace process. He would better deal with the Kurdish and Cyprus issues, instead of organizing shows on Akhtamar Island, he added.

Speaking of Aliyev’s statement that the negotiations reached a crucial stage, Sharmazanov stressed that this would be possible only when Nagorno-Karabakh Republic becomes a party to negotiations. “Aliyev should realize that the key to conflict’s resolution is in Stepanakert,” he concluded.
