YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, on Tuesday chaired a consultation on the avenues for full and effective implementation of the scientific potential of the country’s agricultural sector. 

Abrahamyan noted that the Government of Armenia has declared agriculture a priority, and to achieve better results in this domain, the government expects assistance and cooperation from the scientific potential of the agri-food sector. 

The interlocutors exchanged views on the priorities of the state agrarian policy.

The PM underscored the need for taking substantive steps, implementing specific targeted projects based on scientific achievements, and having closer agrarian science-production ties.

The Premier also urged to actively work together to achieve visible results.

Hovik Abrahamyan, summing up the consultation, instructed to develop realistic specific projects, jointly discuss them with the relevant departments, and submit them to the government.
