YEREVAN. - VivaCell-MTS will maintain tariffs for international mobile calls, despite the decline of Armenian dram against the US dollar by the end of 2014, Mr Ralph Yirikian, the company CEO, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

“Of course we have a high exposure to currency performance. But we are trying to keep the prices in check. We assume fluctuation margins, there being no other choice. The only other option is to raise the tariffs. But our company has decided to leave them unchanged, which reflects our responsibility to the consumers. 

We’re even trying to engage in more stern negotiations with our international partners, to reduce the costs and make the tariffs still more affordable to our client base,” Yirikian said.

80% of VivaCell-MTS (K-Telecom CJSC) equity belongs to MTS OJSC (largest Russian mobile operator), and the remaining 20% to Lebanon-based Fattouch Group.
