YEREVAN. – Arsen Avetisyan, the 51 percent proprietor and also Director of Air Armenia CJSC, stands ready to accept the offer for reconciliation.
Avetisyan, who was recently beaten by the bodyguards of Ruben Hayrapetyan, President of the Football Federation of Armenia, on Thursday issued a statement.
“Air Armenia airline company, which I head, has found itself in double dire straits as a result of these events. (…). Representatives of the East Prospect Fund, my main partner and 49 percent proprietor of Air Armenia airline company, issued a statement yesterday [i.e. Wednesday] urging to find a lawful way of solving the problem.
“Not solely the re-operation of Air Armenia airline company, but also the payment of the salaries of around 250 employees, as well as the fulfillment of the commitments towards our partners, is directly dependent on the investments that are currently being made [in the company].
“My partners urge me to maintain [a sense of] balance and rationality, [and] to accept the hand extended to me for reconciliation,” the statement specifically reads.
