Armenian and Russian tour operators are going to present in Moscow a tour itinerary to Western Armenia, President of Armenian Institute for Tourism Robert Minsayan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.
“We hope to hold the presentation in cooperation with the Russian President Administration. Apparently, the deadlines will depend on them. But I think, we’ll manage to do that, given the importance of the project,” Minasyan said.
In spring 2015, delegation of Armenian and Russian tour operators visited former Armenian cities of Kars and Sarıkamış (currently located in Turkey), familiarizing themselves with the condition of not only Armenian, but also Russian monuments in those territories.
The operators want to include the Armenian Arakelots (Holy Apostles) church in Kars and the hunting lodge built for Nicholas II of Russia in Sarıkamış into the main places of interest.
The results of the monument descriptions were collected into a book, for which the authors got a citation from the Russian President Administration.
