YEREVAN. – Security officer Varazdat Khotsanyan was attacked and beaten Friday at around 3:30am in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia. 

Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned that the incident occurred nearby a downtown café, as the security officer was on his way to an inspection of an office.

Khotsanyan has provided security for several famous people during their visit to Armenia, and these people include American Armenian TV personality Kim Kardashian, and Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned of Qatar.

We also have learned that Khotsanyan was attacked by about seven people. An argument had started over a matter, and the security officer was brutally beaten.

As a result, Varazdat Khotsanyan sustained several injuries to his face, and he is currently at the intensive care unit of a hospital.
