YEREVAN. - “No to Plunder” and “Stand up, Armenia” initiatives staging a protest in front of Armenia’s Chief Police Department building gave the police deadline until August 28 to complete the internal investigation, “No to Plunder” initiative member Maxim Sargsyan said at the protest today.

“We give the police time until Friday. If they do not complete the internal investigation, we’ll again hold a protest, but won’t say when and where. We also demand the police to post a video, where [the former Senior Lieutenant] Arthur Vardgesyan will apologize to Hakob Nazari-Dekhnavi,” Sargsyan said.

The protest ended on that note.

Protestors were staging a protest in front of Armenia’s Chief Police Department building, demanding the former Senior Lieutenant Arthur Vardgesyan to come and publicly apologize to Hakob Nazaryan, 67, whom he slapped during the protest held by “Stand up, Armenia” initiative yesterday.

They were also demanding to hold the senior lieutenant criminally liable and compensate for Hakob Nazari’s broken hearing aid, which according to him, costs $1000.
