The Russian and Armenian Presidents, Dmitry Medvedev and Serzh Sargsyan, are holding a private meeting at the RA presidential residence.

The NEWS.am correspondent reports that the bilateral talks have lasted longer than planned. According to the protocol, a meeting of the Armenian and Russian delegation was to have begun. The sides are expected sign a protocol prolonging the deployment of the Russian military base in Armenia.

The Russian leader and his wife arrived in Yerevan on February 19. In the evening President Dmitry Medvedev visited the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims. After a state dinner, the Armenian and Russian leader, with their wives, took a walk about the Yerevan center and talked to the people.

An informal summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is to be held in Armenia on August 20-22. This is the fourth CSTO summit this year.
