RF President Dmitry Medvedev, who returned to Moscow from Yerevan, has a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul, August 23. The sides discussed the situation in the South Caucasus.

The Kremlin press service reports the Russian and Turkish leaders exchanged views on the situation and on joint efforts to facilitate the establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

President Medvedev thanked the Turkish leadership and people for their support and participation in the fire suppression work in Russia.

The Russian and Turkish leaders pointed out that solidarity is evidence of bilateral strategic partnership.
