YEREVAN. – The draft package of constitutional amendments has been submitted to the plenary session of the Armenian parliament.
The parliament’s standing committee on state and legal affairs gave a positive assessment of the draft bill on Friday.
Four MPs – Zaruhi Postanjyan (Heritage), Gagik Jahangiryan (ANC), Tigran Urikhanyan (Prosperous Armenia faction) and Edmon Marukyan – spoke against the amendments.
The first plenary of the autumn session of parliament will be convened on September 15.
