RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan participated in the opening ceremony of the Baze-2010 youth congress in Tsakhkadzor. The congress has been organized by the by the Youth Foundation of Armenia. Over 280 young people aged 18-30 from Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Javakhk are participating in the congress.

Speaking at the congress, the RA Premier pointed out that this year has seen an unprecedented number of events that have attracted Armenian young people from all parts of the world. The Armenian Government will do its best to encourage youth movement in Armenia. Baze youth congresses are the best means of uniting young people, drafting joint youth programs and introducing new culture, the Premier said.

Tigran Sargsyan congratulated the participants on the 20th anniversary of Declaration of Armenia’s independence. He underlined the importance of good education for young people. “It is no secret that the nations attaching high importance to education have advantages in the present-day world. Present-day world is not only arms race, it is first of all intellectual competition. We will have brilliant future if an intellectual and well-educated young man is the hero of the day. In this regard, I think we have to do much,” the Premier said.

As part of the action “Advocacy of free blood donation” organized by the Youth Foundation of Armenia jointly with the Club 25 international organization, the RA Premier made his third blood donation.
