At the 5th congress of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party, the staff of the party’s council made up of 50 people was unveiled.
Although the current PM Ahmet Davutoglu was reelected as the party’s chairman, upon the instruction of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan people close to him, as well as the proponents of Turkey’s ex-president Abdullah Gul’s return were removed from the list, Turkish newspaper Sozcu reports.
Erdogan’s son-in-law Berat Albayrak was included in the party council.
