STEPANAKERT. - A number of Karabakh public figures and Parliament MPs have issued a statement today on establishing a “Karabakh-France” Friendship Circle.

Karabakh Parliament President Ashot Ghoulyan has been elected head of the circle.

The statement reads:

“Welcoming the support of “France-Karabakh” Friendship Circle and the efforts of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic people and authorities to build and develop free and democratic society,  

Highly appreciating the role of the Republic of France in the enhancement and expansion of democratic value system and the famous “Freedom, Fraternity” principles,

With the view of promoting the development of friendly ties between Karabakh and France,

Realizing the necessity of establishing permanent peace and maintaining stability in the region of South Caucasus, and with this regard the significance of dialogue and cooperation between our people,

We, politicians and MPs of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, announce about our decision to establish “Karabakh-France” Friendship Circle with the Republic of France.”
