YEREVAN. – The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Artem Asatryan, believes that the draft constitutional amendments are indispensable for Armenia.

The minister, speaking to reporters in the National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday, noted that thus the country will ensure the efficiency of its system of government. 

“And the increasing of the efficiency of the system of governance will have a positive impact on the socioeconomic condition of the country,” added Asatryan.

The new draft Constitution of Armenia is debated in the NA. Pursuant to this draft, the country will make a transition from a semi-presidential to a parliamentary system of governance.
