YEREVAN. - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) unanimously supports the constitutional amendments, RPA faction leader Vahram Baghdasaryan said at the parliament’s extraordinary session today.
“Generally, there can be no two opinions on the necessity to switch to the parliamentary form of governance. If someone is against, they must have personal motives there,” Baghdasaryan said.
According to him, the hearsay on that the RPA MPs secretly don’t approve of the constitutional amendments doesn’t correspond to reality.
“The RPA thoroughly looked into the constitutional amendments for over a year, and advanced its proposals. And now we are going towards the reform as one man. We support it,” Baghdasaryan said.
