The talk on the allocation of Russian peacekeepers in the zone of Karabakh conflict is speculation, Ms. Evelyn Farkas, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Defense for Russia/Ukraine/Eurasia, said at the briefing in Baku.

According to her, Russia is the participant of the transparent Minsk process, in which government of Azerbaijan and Armenia take part. Ms Farka’s expressed confidence that if such a plan comes up in the future, it will be discussed openly with the other participants of Minsk Group, Interfax reports.

She also noted that the U.S. is concerned about the unresolved conflicts on the post-soviet area and constantly keep that issue under control. In her words, the U.S. is looking for ways for the just settlement of the conflicts in accordance with the norms of the international law.
