YEREVAN. – The Armenian peacekeeping forces’ brigade was recognized one of the best in the peacekeeping operations that were conducted within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, stated the aforementioned at his talk with the students at the Leadership School.

“Our task was to ensure the distribution of the operational reserves according to the regions, [and] to raise the level of air defense,” stressed Ohanyan.

The minister noted that Armenia has played a major role in the formation of the CSTO military component and the creation of the CSTO Rapid Reaction Force, and it freely cooperates with the collective security defense organization and the North Atlantic defense organization.
