YEREVAN. - The doors of the European Union aren’t, of course, closed for Armenia, the newly- appointed Ambassador of Germany to Armenia Mr Matthias Kiesler told Radio Liberty.
According to him, all possibilities for rapprochement between Armenia and EU should be examined. “Everybody knows about the decision, which Armenia made in September 2013. This was a decision taken by your Government and responsible persons,” Matthias Kiessler said.
In the Ambassador’s words, the process of drawing up a new agreement is currently underway. He said this can become a good basis for the achievement of further agreements.
Mr Kiesler couldn’t point to the precise deadlines of the new document. “I can’t foresee the future. The only thing I know is that the EU is doing its best in that direction. As an EU member-state, Germany is interested in the document being signed as soon as possible,” the Ambassador said.
