In an interview with the daily, Armenian former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan commented on the information Azerbaijan is ready to pay $ 500 m to buy Georgian sector of the North-South gas pipeline. Bagratyan stressed Armenia should itself purchase it, as it is challenge to be responded to. He did not specify what concrete consequences the deal may have, however noted they may be unpleasant.

“I do not think they will do whatever they want, in any case, they will make up something.  As soon as they wish to unleash a war, they will start to repair it, cutting gas supply to Armenia. For this reason, the Armenian side, namely ArmRusGazArd should purchase it itself,” Bagratyan said, emphasizing all the more gas price rose in Armenia.
