The heinous firing from military weapon by Frant'El café restaurant in Russia’s Volgograd city, as a result of which two Armenians were wounded, was led by a police lieutenant. The latter is the son of Yelena Georgievna Brulyova, who held a senior position in the city department of Internal Affairs Ministry at the time of the crime. Having worked in the Ministry for over 20 years, Yelena Brulyova resigned her post Monday and has retired since Tuesday, as reported by LifeNews.
Her son, Anton Brulyov, worker of Department of Struggle against Economic Crimes at Traktotozavoski regional police, was also fired.
The incident took place Monday morning near the Kachinsky market in Dzerzhinsky region of Russia’s Volgograd city. The conflict sparked after a taxi driver refused to drive a group of well-drunk young men, who were returning from a wedding. Hearing the refusal, they beat the taxi driver, who called his relative for help. According to the preliminary information, the latter was the one who opened fire at the attackers from a gun.
Consequently, one man died and six were injured. Among the injured are Armenian Armen Yeghiazaryan, 22 and Vlad Jerjikhanyan, 24.
