Armenia’s Ambassador to Vietnam Raisa Vardanyan today met with the Vietnamese Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong.

Ambassador Vardanyan briefed the Minister on the operation of Armenian justice system, Armenia’s achievements in the sphere of justice in the recent years, as well as the country’s work with the international judicial institutions. Attaching importance to the role of justice in the enhancement of democracy, Ambassador Vardanyan said that Armenia and Vietnam can definitely be useful to each other, especially in terms of exchange of experience and trainings of specialists.

The interlocutors also attached importance to the Minister Ha Hung Cuong’s visit to Armenia scheduled for 22-24 October 2015, stressing that it will serve as a good starting point for the cooperation between Armenia and Vietnam in the judicial sphere.

Minister Ha Hung Cuong thanked Ambassador Vardanyan for the effective cooperation with the Embassy and especially for the implementation of preparatory work related to the scheduled visit.

Upon the request of the Minister, Ambassador Vardanyan presented the events held in Armenia and Diaspora in the framework of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, including the significance of the mass served by Pope Francis in Vatican this April.

Reference was also made to the current stage of peaceful settlement process of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
