YEREVAN. – The new EU Twinning project between Armenia and France started officially on 15 October 2015

The EU Delegation to Armenia, Armenian Ministry of Economy, “Business France” have signed the Twinning contract on “Strengthening the investment promotion and investment policy institutional framework of Armenia”. The project is funded by the EU with € 810.000.

Twinning has been operating since 2009 and has implemented 20 projects in different areas, Deputy Economy Minister Garegin Melkonyan said.

“The program has three main components: development of the post-investment services; development of a strategy to direct foreign investment and improve investment environment; to promote investment and implementation of specific actions aimed at the implementation of this policy,” Melkonyan said, adding that the deadline for implementation of the program is16 months.
