Despite the explosive situation in the region, the resumption of hostilities by Azerbaijan is unlikely, representative of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Hovahnnes Igityan told the reporters on Monday.
According to him, Azerbaijan has a greater diplomatic and political advantage over Armenia in the international agencies and can benefit from it.
“If Azerbaijan unleashes a war it may fail to resolve the Karabakh conflict in several days in favor of it and will be deprived of political and diplomatic advantage,” Igityan said.
The politician stressed today Azerbaijan places its hopes on Turkey’s intensification and Turkish-Azerbaijani lobby. For this reason, a war is not considered as a solution to the Karabakh conflict, he concluded.
