Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is facilitating its visa regime: citizens of 190 countries, including Russia can now get tourist visas for 30 days (which can be extended for another 15 days) in the airport upon arrival.

Tourists were previously issued visas for 14 days without the right to extend. The changes are applicable to the tourists from Russia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Spain, UAE, Romania, Cuba, Ukraine and other states. During the year the country is going to switch to electronic visas, Argumentiru reports.

Change in the visa rules shows that the authorities of Iran are getting ready for the flow of foreign guests. The Republic is sure that the removal of sanctions will make western tourists look at the cultural and historic treasures of Iran from a new perspective.
