YEREVAN. – As a result of the proposed constitutional amendments in Armenia, the protection of human rights and freedom will be raised to a higher level in the country.
President Serzh Sargsyan noted the aforementioned in his address on Friday in capital city Yerevan, at the 3rd International Forum of the Graduates of Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
Sargsyan added that, owing to these amendments, the powers of the government institutions will be balanced out, and that the accountability and authority of each of these institutions are coordinated.
The referendum on Armenia’s draft constitutional amendments is slated for December 6.
