YEREVAN. - Members of the civil initiative “Rise up, Armenia” didn’t manage to meet with the Armenian Parliament Chief of Staff Hrayr Tovmasyan. The initiative representatives hope that Tovmasyan will organize their meeting with the Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan and faction heads.

The initiative member David Harutynyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent that they are going to launch a protest in front of the Academy of Sciences on Tuesday, and will stay there unless the meeting is organized.

In his words, they were told Hrayr Tovmasyan was “very busy” and thus couldn’t meet with them. The initiative members refused to hand the letter through an officer, stating they are insisting on a personal meeting.

Parliament’s Head of Public Relations and Media Department Arsen Babayan wrote on his Facebook page that he is ready to receive the initiative members and discuss all the issues.
