Turkey and Azerbaijan adopted a policy on liquidation of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh and expulsion of Armenians from their territories, committing the Armenian Genocide, Chairman of Association of war veterans and military service, Central Office of RF Land Forces, Lt. General Norat Ter Grigoryants stated at the international conference “Armenian Diaspora of Russia: challenges of time”, reported Yerkramas, newspaper of the Armenians of Russia.

According to him, the Karabakh peace process has produced no results over the past 16 years, due to Azerbaijan’s unconstructive stance. “Official Baku is trying to return Nagorno-Karabakh   through speculations, based on oil interest of the world powers and warlike statements, what he failed to do by force in 1990.  Azerbaijani leadership demands the return of the Nagorno-Karabakh and plans to change the ethno-demographic balance in Karabakh.  Such a position is unacceptable for Nagorno-Karabakh and is rejected by Armenia and Armenian Diaspora. The independence of Nagorno-Karabakh is irreversible and Azerbaijan will have to reckon with the reality. The people of Karabakh have already experienced the power of nationalists, robbers, cutthroats, whose ideology was the Armenian Genocide not only in Sumgait, Baku Gyanja and other regions of Azerbaijan, but also in Karabakh. Karabakh being part of Azerbaijan is excluded,” Grigoryants emphasized.
