Two Armenians were given Turkey’s citizenship under instruction of country’s Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan.  

On August 31, Arthur Manukyan (22) and his mother Hasmik Manukyan (45) who has been illegally residing in Turkey for 5 years were granted citizenship, Hurriyet reported.

Arthur Manukyan who is suffering from moyamoya syndrome is undergoing treatment in the Surb Khach Armenian hospital of Istanbul.

Thus, Erdogan tried to ease situation after his threats to deport 100, 000 illegal Armenian residents voiced several months ago.
