YEREVAN. – The foreign trade turnover of Armenia is continuously decreasing in the current year. Moreover, the imbalance has considerably reduced due to a vast difference between the decline in exports and imports.
This notwithstanding, the demand for the US dollars (USDs) needed for imports has reduced.
It is known that the USD is the main method of calculation in global trade, and therefore everyone in Armenia wants stability in the exchange rate of the American currency.
As of Tuesday, the USD has strengthened by more than 16 percent in Armenia, and within two years.
In the current year, there are no sharp fluctuations in the USD dynamics in the country.
The currency market of Armenia has experienced less respective shocks, in comparison with several other CIS countries.
