Union of Russian Armenians (URA) deeply mourns Tuesday’s traffic accident in Russia’s Tula Oblast (province), as a result of which dozens of bus passengers were killed and got wounded, URA statement sent to Armenian News – NEWS.am reads.

“Parallel with investigating all the circumstances of the incident, URA headquarters - whose activity is coordinated by URA President Ara Abrahamyan who is in Uzlovsky District in Tula Oblast  - are also operating at the crash site at the moment.”

URA, closely cooperating with the representatives of Russian state authorities and Armenian Embassy in Russia, is also carrying out all the necessary actions for providing help to the victims and their relatives. Specifically, contact is made with the relatives of the killed passengers and help is provided on organizing the transportation of the bodies to their homeland. Support is provided to the wounded in receiving qualified medical assistance. The rest of the passengers are placed in hospitals and will be sent to Armenia when possible.
