YEREVAN. – An unusual incident took place in the early morning hours on Wednesday at the Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.
The Yerevan-Vienna scheduled flight was delayed for several hours, and due to a crack that had “suddenly” appeared on a window of the plane that was to conduct this flight.
Press department of the Armenian government-affiliated General Department of Civil Aviation (GDCA) informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the airline conducting this flight had consulted with the technical crew, whereupon it decided to delay the flight and conduct it with another aircraft.
“The [said] plane is under repair,” noted GDCA Press Secretary Ruben Grdzelyan.
The crack on the window of the aircraft was detected when the passengers had already boarded the plane.
