The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Karen Chshmarityan, paid an official visit to Iran from Sunday to Tuesday.
During his talks, Chshmarityan presented the opportunities being opened through Armenia’s accession into the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), and with the other countries that have preferential trade systems.
Separately, the Iran-Armenia Business Forum was convened on Monday in Tehran.
On the same day, the Armenian minister of economy met with the Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology (IT), Mahmoud Vaezi.
The interlocutors discussed the prospects for economic development and the new opportunities for cooperation between Armenia and Iran.
Karen Chshmarityan pointed to Armenia’s success in the IT sector.
They also underscored mutual investments, transportation, and road construction.
An agreement was reached to participate in the IT and innovation events and exhibitions to be held in the two countries.
