No attorney has yet been hired for Garnik Harutyunyan, the driver of the Armenian bus crashed in Russia’s Tula en route from Moscow to Yerevan. His defense will be conducted by public attorney, Harutyunyan’s relatives told Armenian News – NEWS.am.    

“We are waiting for the results of the comprehensive technical expert examination, following which - if we don’t agree with it - we will interfere to require conducting additional expert examination,” they said.

The “King Deluxe” company, which owned the overturned bus, promised to hire an attorney.

Nine people were killed and 46 others were injured as a passenger bus, which was traveling from Moscow to Yerevan, crashed on November 3 at around 2:10am local time, in Tula Oblast (province) in Russia. All of the 60 passengers in the bus were Armenian citizens.

Criminal case has been launched against the driver under the article “reckless driving with negligent involvement of death of two or more persons.”
